The Deer Hunter is a very good film, recently it seems to be a film that a lot of people are quick to hate, and Mark's post pretty much explains why. But I think it's a very effective look at the gruesome side and horror of war. It didn't make my list, but I'm glad it made the overall list. My brother thinks it's great and probably had it on his list.

The Warriors, I need to give it a full watch again, as I saw it mostly ages ago and have only seen bits and bobs since, I never thought it was great though.

Never even considered The Warriors.
That is why you fail.

I can't for the life of me figure out why there's a cult following for this film compared to some other similar and even better flicks. What else is new?
Because The Wanderers is rubbish.
No Bruce Lee so far
I know, I'm starting to worry.
I'm hoping for a certain Bruce Lee movie to show up too
Yep, I want that too. There again, I thought the chance of The Warriors making the list had past but....

YES!!!

All those who voted for The Warriors, thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys rock.

My #6 film and the highest from my list thus far. You all know how much I love this film, it's just wonderful and I couldn't even guess how many times I've seen it. I still have my VHS copy, for the obvious reason. and, until they rectify that mistake, I'm always going to need it. It does mean I don't watch the film anything like as often as I'd like to but, my God, it gives me what I want each and every time.
