A lot of people saying how
Big was a childhood favourite and they've not seen it in a long while. I'd certainly urge those people to return to it, especially with the 80s list coming up.
Big definitely deserves to be on it and if you loved it before I'd say there's a high probability you'll love it again
And thanks everyone for the compliments on the review - nebbit, gandalf, Rodent etc
Nope. You wanted me to participate in your thread; here I am.
That's before I knew what I was getting! It would be like inviting Hitler to your Bar Mitzvah. If he showed up you'd initially be quite pleased but pretty soon you'd realise it was a bad idea.
And yes I did just compare you to Hitler!
Damn it, you're just never going to give me an opportunity to use the thumbs down image, are you?
It's been a pretty long while since I last watched it, but Big was a major childhood favorite of mine. Was this your first time seeing it?
Well that's the plan!
I'm now actually terrified everytime I post a review that I'm going to see the thumbs down photo!
No not my first time.
Big is an old favourite of mine, which you'd know if you were paying attention to my top 100 list!
There's been a number of films, namely Vice Versa with Judge Rienhold and the many Freaky Friday incarnations but Big takes the title easily.
Yeah the body swap/transformation story can often be fun (
13 Going on 30 is another I really enjoyed) but Big is just on another level.
Yeah I get this terrible de ja vu feeling every time I open this thread and see ******* Commodus and Bill and Ted pictures. For the love of god enough is enough.
You're already sick of the pics? Think about poor Honeykid! He's had to put up with Sexy's Whoopi pics for years!
And I think I know what's going on here. I think this may be the ugly face of jealousy rearing its head. Is someone upset they don't have their own pic?
JayDee made that Commodus image specifically for me to use in this thread.
So I'm going to keep using it.
Well to be fair they were just for a laugh and I didn't expect anyone to really take the on. But I'm touched that you and Gunslinger have.
Aw, I love Big. I don't think Hanks has ever been better than when he has been paired up with Marshall; Big & A league of Their Own. You hit the nail on the head about Big being a wonderful ode to childhood and how important it is to see the world through the eyes of a child at times.
Glad you're back to reviewing films that I like.
Yeah
A League of Their Own is great as well, and so is Hanks in it. There's no crying in baseball!!!
And you're as bad Vicky, throwing in little digs anytime it's not one of
your films!
