Reign Over Me (2007) - Mike Binder

- Adam Sandler is TERRIFIC in that flick wow. It is BY EXTREMELY FAR his best performance and he prove that he can act perfectly in a drama or more serious movie. This movie is very touching and bring tears to my eyes a couple of time during the viewing. The storyline is awesome in my opinion and it prove that friendship is one of the most important thing in your life. The direction is very good and the Don Cheadle and the supporting cast are very good. Definitely a movie that I gonna buy very soon. Love it.

The Big Red One (1980)

Solid war film that recounts events mostly from the perspective of an American Infantry Division. Shows the horrors of war without being too harrowing and has some moments of black humour and total absurdity. Lee Marvin gives a powerhouse performance as the hard-nosed yet caring Veteran. Apparently based on Fullers own experiences whilst serving in WW2.

man of steel (2013)

some good set pieces but some action scenes are confused.....3/5

Black Coal Thin Ice (China)
a mix of visceral and cerebral crime drama. I kinda ran the gambit of liking, disliking, enjoying, trudging through, caught up in to losing interest and back again while watching this.
Will need a rewatch to get a more solid feel or will meander again for meandering's sake.
Thanks for bringing this one to my attention, sounds interesting

Love Hunter (2014)
A very warm and hopeful story of how lives can take us where we want, but sometimes the circumstances will surprise us.

The Wolf Man(1941)
Director - George Waggner
Starring - Lon Chaney Jr, Bela Lugosi, Claude Rains, Evelyn Ankers

Even a man who is pure in heart
and says his prayers by night

may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms

and the autumn moon is bright.

Rating: 9.5/10

This is my favourite Universal Pictures monster movie and one of my favorite films of that decade and happens to star one of my favourite actors in the early horror genre. This movie is to me a masterpiece of storytelling and camera work, making wonderful use of lighting and props to create a meaningful and believable setting. It also doesn't hurt that Bela Lugosi is in this, and I simply love that guy.

I'd be very curious to hear what you think, let me know
Will do - could be a while though as it's a relatively recent release on dvd (Jul '15) so it's currently gone into the wishlist to see when/if the price drops a bit (I don't generally stream) ... unless of course Film 4 decide to be ultra-kind and show it (not impossible).

Interiors (1978)

This was my 10th Woody Allen film, and while that's a small number relative to how many films he's made, I thought I had enough of a taste to know what I was going to get. This is a family drama with absolutely no humor. It reminded me of a Bergman film, only American and less psychological. There are several terrific performances and a few powerful scenes, most notably with about 10 minutes left. I thought it was a really good flick.

Dear Mr. Gacy (2010) - Svetozar Ristovski

- One of the most psychological mind-blowing movie that I've ever seen and that rewatch was awesome. I must the only one on this forum who watch that flick but this movie is a must-see in my opinion. You travel in the head of a sick serial killer (John Wayne Gacy) through series of phone calls and letters. The fact that this movie happen in real life blow me away.... it is completely surreal. My favorite part is definitely when he go see Gacy in the prison, We really enter in the head of a crazy psychopath. Actors are really good and direction is great. Definitely among my favorites.

I have to return some videotapes...
A.I. (2001) - Really not what I was expecting. Don't waste your time with this movie unless your just morbidly curious like I was considering all of Kubrick's involvement. I found it to be the most void ending to any movie. The only thing I truly liked about it was Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, and the first forty five minutes. I would probably give it a 5.2/10.

Surprisingly I found this at my local library. I've been rather lucky with them have a rather decent amount of good films

5.25/10...

I watched this because when I was younger I used to love the books by VC Andrews.. however, I think they should have stuck to the book instead of changing the story... meh!
