You were disappointed by Pulp Fiction? What's there to be disappointed by?

I thought I would love Fight Club cause I love dark, cynical films and especially ones that deal with such themes but I thought this movie was beyond meh.

(sighs) I kinda liked the first hour or so but then I realized this was your run-of the mill superhero flick. Mundane villains, cheesy lines, mediocre set-pieces and a laughably bad final battle between the good guy and bad guy. It's an "okay" film, don't believe the hype.

AK varient, PKM, grenade launcher, and what seems to be some foreign equivalent of either the Javelin or AT4. Complete with body armor, mags, and enough pouches to give Rob Liefeld a boner. Nicely done. lol

Yeah, now I am safe from whoever's wrath. Be it Guapo or Daniel M.

What's the second movie? Can't see the picture.

Wow, wouldn't have guessed that at first. But thinking back to it, I think you're right. The "creation" of Batman was definitely the best part of that movie. Everything else was pretty forgettable, especially after watching the Dark Knight.

^Yup. I thought the training and all that was cool but then It was just your average superhero film. The Scarecrow was heavily underused, we got some very wooden acting especially by Katie Holmes, and the villainous plot to take out Gotham was cartoony and laughable. The film just left an awful taste in my mouth especially after watching the much superior The Dark Knight. I thought Rises was much, much better than Begins as well.

Wow I couldn't disagree more. It's my favourite comic book movie and it's underrated in my opinion. The villain is not as good as in TDK ou TDKR, but the script itself is a lot better in my opinion

^I respect your opinion. To each his own.

^I watched The Dark Knight first, then Dark Knight Rises, and then finally I ended up watching Batman Begins with extremely high expectations. Maybe I am being a little bit harsh on it, but I personally found it alot weaker than it's two sequels.

- Prometheus (just an OK movie that I was expecting to be great)
- The Tree of Life (that taught me to not trust critics blindly, actually)
- Batman Returns (like the Tree of Life, a critic said it was a timeless masterpiece, it's an OK movie but nothing like a masterpiece)
- Reservoir Dogs (liked or loved every other Tarantino film)
- Pom Poko (from the same director of Grave of the Fireflies and Only Yesterday but mediocre)
- Breathless (like the Tree of Life, it taught me that the Sign and Sound top 250 is more dangerous than the IMDB top 250)
- The Lion King (when I watched it recently after spending nearly 20 years without watching it)
- The Dark Knight (good movie but I was expecting another Star Wars or Lord of the Rings)
- The Avengers (good movie but I was expecting another Star Wars or Lord of the Rings)

I am able to recognize a masterpiece and that's why I don't deem Pulp Fiction a masterpiece. :P

The Dark Knight Rises...

I figured I wouldn't enjoy it as much as The Dark Knight anyways, but I wasn't expecting it to be so broad and jumbled.

When was the last time you saw Pulp Fiction, Mr Minio? If you've seen it only once, or if it's been ages since you last saw it, you should definitely see it again. Pulp Fiction is one of those movies that grow on you.

After I saw it for the first time I didn't know what to make of it, now I think it's perfect.
