Your most anticipated films of 2012-2013?
Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit way way way above everything else.
Also curious about Prometheus although Ridley has made some stinkers recently, Robin Hood was dire and so was that spy crap with De Caprio and Russell Crowe.
Skyfall hopefully will learn from the mistakes of Quontam of Shite.
The Avengers actually looks good although I remain sceptical about putting so many hero's in the same film. When I found out that "Loki" from Thor was going to be the Villain my enthusiasm was lifted.
NOT lookingforward to Superman or Spiderman. I really liked Superman Returns and think that Brandon Routh did a great job, although Kevin Spacey majorly sucked as Lex Luthor. Spiderman I feel is far too soon to do a reboot, what are they going to do after these 2 or 3 spidey films? reboot it again?
I'm sure that there will be a load of smaller films that I know nothing about yet, but that half the fun of movies isn't it.

Just saw John Carter. I will see it again Monday. I think its the best film of the fantasy/sci-fi genre since the original Star Wars.
It may "suffer" from that it did not receive a great deal of dumbing down. It has a solid plot and story, is involved, and has character. This sets it apart from the truckload of comic book and cartoon adaptations that normally occupy this budget range.

This is another film I want to see, been waiting for, and am getting mad because it's not out yet!

"Omar" from The Wire is going to play Ol Dirty Bastard in a biopic.
"Titled Dirty White Boy, the film focuses on the offbeat friendship between the Wu-Tang Clan co-founder and Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old VH1 production assistant who through a lot of hustle (and the occasional lie) talked his way into becoming the rapper’s manager when Jones was serving a three-year stint in prison in the early 2000s."

Like Brodinski, my most anticipated movie is The Master, though I suspect for different reasons.
Others:
The Raven*
Pirates! Band of Misfits
Brave
Frankenweenie
Despicable Me 2
Django Unchained
*I don't have high hopes for this one given Cusack's track record. But I love him anyway and I also have a thing for period pieces and serial killer movies.
