About an anime with toy soldiers!!

Hi guys this could be quite challenging, its about a pretty old anime that all i remember is a kid that gets for present ( christams or his birthday i think..) a box with some toy soldiers with rifles, the soldiers get alive ( or only 1 of them i dont remember) and leaves the house and travels with a paper boat through a sewer, somewhow he manages to get back to the house where with a toy queen i think they melt together at the fireplace?? thats all i remember :/

Sounds like an old episode of Amazing Stories from the 80s, but I feel like the soldiers started attacking the family at one point...

It sounds like an episode from Fantasia 2000. Let me see if I can find it on YouTube.



There are many versions of this story. This one below might be yours since it's got a paper boat and the original Hans Christian Andersen ending.
