This case is especially true when said type of character is a role played by a character in the REAL movie, and the in-universe movie is considered in-universe to be one of the worst movies ever, thus meaning the movie is NOT offensive by addressing offensive-

Now I love movies, and this is a movie about making a movie.

If you’re a fan of anyone in the movie though, it’d definitely be one that I would recommend you see because all the cast does a great job in Tropic Thunder.

The film starts of strong and ends strong as well. It's the middle act where it has most of the problems. Even if you can see the joke coming, you still laugh because of the delivery, good job for the actors on that one.

Unfortunately Tropic Thunder doesn't substance and humor to become a great comedy...

...Tropic Thunder is a very original, pretty funny, uncompromising mockery of the state of Hollywood and the people that populate it.

I was a bit disappointed. The beginning trailers were funny, the first war scene they shot was so bad it had to be a satire, but once they go onto the island the story becomes too coincidental and at times so drawn out it can be annoying.

It provides a lot of laughs and is definitely worth the money to see it in theaters.
