Everything about this movie is very well made, the sound track is terrifying, Freddy Kruger is terrifying, the flipping movie is terrifying.

Nightmare On Elm Street holds a unique title, along with one other film, as being the only films to really scare me.

Though you could argue the whole movies story is flimsey because one way to percieve the ending is that the whole movie was a dream the whole time - it's ending can not salvage the biggest plot hole filled movie i've ever seen.
