That's not to say I didn't like the film, on the contrary, I liked it very much, but I was never on board with these two girls as decent people.

Zwigoff definitely injects his goofy and easily missed humor into Daniel Clowes' comic premise, and some of the humor works well but other jokes feel like they are trying to appeal to the general movie going crowd.

I liked the outline of it, where these two young people find themselves stuck in reality and has to learn how to take responsibility and realize the world is not waiting for no one it is a very subjectively made film, but that doesnt mean you cant draw certain parallels to your own life especially...

When Enid and Becky graduate high school, they enter a world filled with responsibilities, challenges, and a familiar horde of freaks, depressives and general human oddities.

In a nutshell, the film is about the awkward stage between childhood and adulthood and about the time when one realizes that he/she is largely responsible for how things will turn out.

[I]Ghost World[/I] is a timeless, painfully authentic representation of teenage existence that should be required viewing for any high schooler wary of the world before them.
