She'll be a key figure in future films I'm sure, maybe even a possible love interest for Thor now that Portman has decided to stop making these cash cows.
For example, the hilarious bickering between Hulk and Thor during the film's mid-point is because Thor wants to leave, but Hulk doesn't.
From the first Thor film to this one (with Avengers films in-between), Hemsworth has really come a long way in his role as Thor.
