Introducing the MoFo Movie Blog

Tools

I'm awful at keeping the news section updated, and niche blogs are the future of content delivery on the Internet, so the choice was an easy one. It was made even easier by the fact that jrs follows movie news as if his life depended on it, and was willing to run the blog. The software is custom written, so you'll probably run into some bugs here and there.

http://www.movieforums.com/blog

The functionality so far is pretty basic; days with entries are highlighted and clickable on the calendar to the right. Grouping by categories and such should be coming before too long. Recent news items on the forum home page have been replaced by recent blog entries, since the blog is being updated far more than the old news area.

Everyone give Jason a big hand. He's dedicated a portion of each day to maintaining this blog, and I couldn't be much more pleased with the result. Give it a look, and be sure to glance at the "News" box on the forum main page for recent entries.

And this is my BOOMstick!
All hail JRS!

Thank you Chris, and I'm honored. The MoFo Movie Blog is perfect for me, for ovies are a big thing in my life and it's a real pleasure.

Wow-for a second there I had thought that there was going to be a MoFo's movie; a movie about a movie forum, interesting. I can see it now; MoFo's: The Motion Picture (get in, get out, get groovy).

Anyway, the blog is totally awesome! Thank you jrs for putting effort into it and thansk Yoda fro taking the time to put it up!

Cool, but don't steal post titles from other movie news sites...

Er, not quite. Chris knew you were sourcing material, but I didn't realize the titles were copied.

Maybe it is just me, but I don't see any credit going to the people who do write that news. I see you linking to sites hosting clips...but am I missing where you say who wrote the articles you're lifting or where they came from? :\

Edit: Chris just told me what the deal with the code was. Wasn't trying to call you a thief or anything jrs, just wanted to make sure the people and places that produce those efforts get their due nod.

Well jrs does credit the sites, so its fine by me and plus we would know half of the sequels coming out if it wasnt for jrs? As long as he credit the site or so, im fine with that.

Thanks Jrs for the updates

Nice cheers guys

Lets put a smile on that block
Whats a blog? it sounds a bit like a blob...

I think it's a great idea. If we find something out that jrs missed are we allowed to post it up?
