Which is better ACTION movie? Terminator 2 vs The Dark Knight

Both movies are on my all time top 10 list.

Overall quality wise, they are close to me:

T2
The Dark Knight

But considering on the entertainment value and action scenes, which one is the better ACTION movie to you?

I personally find it hard to answer tbh because both have so many epic memorable moments.

I'll disagree with many and say that Terminator 2 was not even better than Terminator 1.

The plot was largely recycled and the overall IP was not expanded in a meaningful way. T1 had a sense of horror and suspense. One bullet could be the difference between life and death. However, in T2, bullets and violence were sprayed left and right to the point where it became just an action movie. Part of what I loved about T1 was the gradual but convincing development of the protagonist from an ordinary person to a hardened fighter, but T2 didn't really have any of that. T2 was mostly better in set pieces and visual production values.

No kidding, buddy. The title even asks "which is the better ACTION movie" (with "action" capitalised). Even I prefer the first film and I'm not about to argue like it's got better action than the second.

Anyway, I voted for T2 because it also has better action than The Dark Knight, a film where the action might actually be its weakest quality.

Purely action? Gotta go T2. Sure Terminator 2 has been in my top 25 favorite films since I saw the movie as a pre-teen, but as much as I like The Dark Knight there is very few things in that flick that will hold up action movie wise versus T2. That badass chase scene through the tunnels of Gotham with the Joker and an RPG? Sad to say will never hold a candle to the first chase seen in the movie where the T-1000 is going after John Conner in an 18 wheeler though the flood drains of LA.

That awesome final fight in the building where Batman takes out the henchman disguised as hostages and apprehends the Joker? Really f**king good right? F**K THAT! Arnie has a minigun and a grenade launcher. And either scene no one gets killed!

And that hallway scene where Arnie draws his lever action shotgun out of a box of roses to blast the T-1000? Trumps just about everything in The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight has a better story, but T2, has better action and atmosphere, and is just overall better made, and more of a landmark movie, so I think I will go with T2.
