so far KICKASS and so far from the looks of it. Beats all any american CGI movies in terms of graphics and Visuals.

It sucks too.

Oh, it looks fantastic and when it's on, this movie is on. But oh so often is it not and how it doth drageth...

I was dissapointed.

I agree with OG-'s summary. It hit the spot in places (and i thought the main twist was quite neat), but overall it was a mess. It had some of the most ineffective editing i've ever seen, and jumps in narrative that made me wonder whether i'd dozed off and missed some vital plot points. Nice ideas and SFX, but rubbish storytelling.

i did like the concluding conceit: 'just by existing we cause damage to the world - so there's all the more reason to try and make our effect as positive as possible'. That was an interesting strand to run underneath the tales of war foolishness and day-to-day foolishness. It's just a shame the director seemed to think 'incoherence is next to godliness' when it came to the presentation.

i do agree that the movie was flawed in many ways, but i still enjoyed the movie and the meaning and efforts they put into the movie.

and i really enjoyed how they implemented Animation techniques into Casshern which is something quite original and i guess not everybody will like but Anime freaks will.
