Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
Once Upon a Time in China -

Enjoyable, but feels way too much like an ordinary blockbuster kung fu flick. The fights in the first part of the movie seemed chaotic, but then again I'm not too keen on group fights. I prefer duels and they were done much better here. I especially liked the swordsman vs. kung fu master one. We also have some westernization of China themes here and a little too much weird sense of humour (similar to other Chinese films, but nothing hideous this time). I prefer a more kitschy cult classic/unknown gem type, but this one should be really up the alley for many people here.

I also watched a pinku sexploitation torture porn film featuring incest, rape, tortures and bald lesbian nuns & priest and nun sinful waterfall kink

Terms of Endearment (1983)

This was my first time watching it. Aside from a funny performance by Jack Nicholson, the movie dragged on for far too long, and the sad parts just weren't sad enough for me. I never understood what was so great about Debra Winger, and this movie didn't change my mind.
Despite featuring a strong supporting cast including Danny DeVito, Jeff Daniels, and John Lithgow, I didn't enjoy the movie the way I thought I was supposed to.

The Double (2013)

This movie started off interesting, but lost me more than half way through. It clearly is influenced by the Coen Brothers' writing and directing style: the quirky dialogue, fast pace, and fictional setting (most notably The Hudsucker Proxy and Barton Fink), but The Double falls way too short.

The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
Clerks (1994)

This was on my watchlist for a while and I had the chance to watch it today!

The acting is not great but the script is amazing! There are so many epic lines in here and the humour is really clever. I can see why is this a classic! And it has a good message at the end, which is surprising!

I rewatched this a while back. I agree with Bob Chipman's assessment that it was a good, but not great, movie that was made with more enthusiasm than skill.

Man of Steel

I finally found my copy of Man of Steel on blu-ray! So this is only my second time seeing this movie. But I absolutely love Zack Snyder. I don't give a **** what critics think of his movies. They are all great.
Everyone complains about this movie and I can't figure out why. A lot of the "plot holes" can be explained or forgiven, so get over it. I think it's just "cool" to hate on Man of Steel. They feel betrayed because this isn't a true incarnation of Superman. Well guess what, it's a movie. Not a comic. And this is an origin story. He isn't even Superman. He barely knows who he is. As far as the death of Zod goes. Zod says himself "This will end with me dying, or you." I think he reflects on these words when he has Zod in his control. He knew it would have to happen.
The effects are amazing. Snyder is known for his effects and visual style and it truly shows. All the performances were good. Except for Amy Adams (I just hate her). All in all this was such a solid movie, especially for a comic book movie. I can count the comic book movies that I LOVE on one hand. I don't understand what people see in Marvel movies. I do like a couple of them, but honestly most of them are overrated. If you take all the aspects of Man of Steel and compare them to most stand alone Marvel movies, IMO, Man of Steel almost always wins.

Chappie doesn't like the real world
I really didn't like it the first time. Not following the comics had nothing to do with it, I just thought it was an all around bad movie.

Definitely seems to be a movie that people either love or hate. I honestly never thought that I would enjoy a Superman movie as much as I did this one (even if its Dark Knight aesthetic seemed really out of place).

The only reason I didn't hate it the first time is because Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe are hot.

Love to hear some reasons why, because I think it's a solid movie. Comic fan or not.

Collateral

Great movie. I love the character of Max. No one expects to be put in his situation and it changes him as a person. Good character development and story. Only minor flaws in my opinion. Really liked it.

I prefer the the first cut of Clerks.

In the Mood for Love - 7.5/10

Having been exposed to Wong Kar-Wai through Chungking Express, this wasn't the kind of movie I expected when I sat down to watch it: slowly and methodically paced, constrictively shot, repetatively scored. The shot composition was absolutely brilliant - scenes with secondary characters are framed by stairwells, doorframes and curtains, almost exclusively contain close-ups and often show only the characters backs (either that or have them partially to completely off-camera), creating a segmented and downright claustrophobic feel. Shots with only one of the two protagonists, by contrast, are shot from a much greater distance and are much more open / expansive, highlighting their isolation and loneliness. While not entirely my cup of tea, it was certainly worth checking out.

The Last Stand (2013)

Fun movie that doesn't pretend it's more than it is. Arnold is fully in his action element, even playing around with the fact that he's aged quite a bit since he was last a superstar. He is ably supported by a nice cast. There are bits of humor sprinkled throughout but it's mostly played straight for most of the flick. Jaimie Alexander from the Thor movies plays one of Arnold's deputies and I must say she looks great in normal clothes as opposed to armor (although that works for me, too). She's awesome in tight blue jeans, carrying a high-powered rifle:

Grand Budapest Hotel. Enjoyed it. Typical Wes Anderson fare but he seems to be getting better and better. Ralph Fiennes is rather good. 7 and a half chocolate bars out of 10.

Yeah, it is fun, but I rate it lower than you. Then again, one of the last scenes, Arnie slowly driving that red car with you know what at the back is hilariously badass.

Edge of Tomorrow

I know!!
I was really looking forward to it too!! I just couldn't get into it at all and it didn't make me laugh much either. I was really interested in the story but it just dragged a bit.
