Top Ten Movies of the 70's

The 1970's is one of my favourite decades of cinema. I have so many favourites from this era that i have found it difficult to assemble a top 10. I could quite easily formulate a top 20 and the list would still remain full of favourites of mine.

3. Chinatown (Polanski, 1974)

4. Apocalypse Now (Coppola, 1979)

5. All The Presidents Men (Parkin, 1976)

6. Deliverance (Boorman, 1972)

7. The Deer Hunter (Cimino, 1978)

8. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest (Forman, 1975)

9. Badlands (Malick, 1973)

10. Sleuth (Mankievicz, 1972)

There are a lot of great 70's movies, and I need to see a lot more.

This list would probably change if I thought about it more, but for now.

(I apologize for this comment since I didn't even suggest any films myself yet, that is because I am busy).

For me the 70s is the second best decade for movies. When we get around to doing a top 100 countdown it will be really hard to pick a winner due to the amount of quality.
