I thought the romance between Mina and Dracula was quite intense... and existed on many levels.
Especially the absynthe one

5.Sleepless in Seattle

Romance is very rarely my thing, but I have seen some really good ones that don't make me go bleah, in fact I've seen some I really like.

**The Wedding Singer**
Romantic without going soppy, the humour adds enourmously to the film and still keeps within boundries without taking over. I love this film.

**The Princess Bride**
I have to agree with this one too. Yet again the romance is not the whole film which to me is a good thing.

**Never been Kissed**
Drew Barrymore is the new romance queen. Her bumbling but appealing characters make the movies she's appeared in so much more entertaining to watch.

**Its a Wonderful Life**
Fantastic film and the first on my list that doesn't use comedy which makes it extra special from my point of view.

**Dirty Dancing**
I like it but don't know why. Its soppier then the other films I've liked. Guess there's something about watching a bunch of upper class people get showed up by raunchy hip swiveling dancing.

**Calamity Jane**
Yeehaw!

I ate all your bees.
Its so sad, Im a 19 year old Arnold Shwarzenegger fan who has a soft spot for romantic comedies. The worst part though is when hiring movies you start of with Fight Club, Predator, Assassins....and then When Harry met Sally. You try and explain to the video store clerk they are for your mum and all you get is that 'yeah sure' look. Ahh well on with the movies.

Favourite Romantic Comedies
-Sleepless in Seattle
-You've got Mail
-When Harry Met Sally
-One Fine Day
-Moonstruck
-How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

It's nice to see some of you tough guys have a soft spot.

I wanted to add some more that I didn't mention earlier.

Two Weeks Notice (2003)

Addicted to Love (1997)

Marty (1955)

Sidewinder...Overboard is one of those rare movies that I thought it was just ok the first time I saw it....and through the years, I've seen it a few more times and it really grew on me. It's really very cute.

A system of cells interlinked
Amelie (It has romance!)

Chocolat

Vertigo (heheh, ok ok it doesn't end well for the couple)

Romancing the Stone (Hey I like this movie)

Last of the Mohicans - The Nathanial/Cora romance is too over the top, but the silent romance between Uncas/Alice is tragic and moving.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

_S

I guess I like tragic romance....

Sedai....I really liked the silent romance between Uncas/Alice in Last of the Mohicans as well.

Have you and your lady seen The Bridges of Madison County? You’d both probably really like this if you haven’t. It’s not a tragedy, but a great tear jerker.
