The Verve- The Rolling People
Am I really already getting nostalgic for early 00s pop!? Really now.

Early 00s? Not sure what tracks you mean - certainly not the ones you quoted, which came out in the 90s....

The Roots - The Seed

Mos Def - Mathematics

Nujabes - Love Sic part 2.

The People's Republic of Clogher
Which immediately led me to seek out one of the greatest songs ever recorded.

But what I was really listening to was:

The Verve - Brainstorm Interlude

Tindersticks - Blood

Another one of my favourite songs.

The People's Republic of Clogher
Chumbawamba - Tubthumping

Ahhh memories. When everyone's favourite Anarcho-Syndicalist collective stumbled on to a hit record (most) of their existing fans looked on like proud parents as they appeared on Top of The Pops.

Who next? Psychic TV? Half Man Half Biscuit?

Sadly, it was not to be.

There's a much better YouTube clip (with a load of confused attractive young ladies in minidresses bopping along in the audience, no doubt expecting some Europop) of their original ToTP performance but the sound quality is awful.

All that and Alice still gets censored during the 'P*ssing the night away' refrain.

The Shamen - Make it Mine

I used to love The Shamen. Then Will died and the line-up changed.

I didn't love them any more. Wonder if you can guess why?

EDIT - Gawd, I can't listen to that. How many tellys got broken by people throwing stuff at them when Mr C appeared in the early 90s?
