The Personal Recommendation Hall of Fame IV

I've only seen 2 of Allaby's, but they're both pretty good/great.

I've seen 6 of Citizen's. There's one I barely remember, but the other 5 are tops.

I've also seen 6 of Edarsenal's. A couple of favorites in that bunch as well.

Dead Man (1995)
Fail Safe (1964)
Harakiri (1962)
Humanity and Paper Balloons (1937)
I, Daniel Blake (2016)
Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949)
Little Big Man (1970)
Missing (1982)
Onibaba (1964)
Ride the Pink Horse (1947)
The Thin Blue Line (1988)
True Romance (1993)

I think True Romance likely runs away with this one

Alice in Wonderland (1951)
Bob Le Flambeur (1956)
Bullitt (1968)
City Lights (1931)
The Conversation (1974)
The Full Monty (1997)
The General (1926)
Paris, Texas (1984)
The Player (1992)
Room at the Top (1959)
Secrets & Lies (1996)
Zodiac (2007)

I got no clue how this list is going to shape up, weird that CR never saw Alice in Wonderland.

Au Revoir Les Enfants (1987)
Black Orpheus (1959)
Born Yesterday (1950)
Captain Courageous (1937)
Grave of the Fireflies (1988)
Grizzly Man (2005)
Le Jour Se Leve (1939)
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
The Right Stuff (1983)
The Searchers (1956)
Shane (1953)
Woman in the Dunes (1964)

Ed's got a brilliant list here, this would be an excellent hall of fame

Another Earth (2011)
Brief Encounter (1945)
Castle in the Sky (1986)
The Conversation (1974)
High and Low (1963)
House of Wax (1953)
How Green Was My Valley (1941)
It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012)
I Walked with a Zombie (1943)
Memories of Murder (2003)
Persona (1966)
Touch of Evil (1958)

I think this will come down to Persona vs High and Low, The Conversation pops up again.

I've seen 4 of Fredrick's, but all four are excellent. Ironically, the "weakest" of those four would be mine

I've seen 7 of Neiba's. There's one I'm not a huge fan of, but then again, I haven't seen it in a good while. The others are all pretty good/great.

Okay takes the cake so far for the best bunch for me. I've seen 11, but a lot of those are easily among my all-time favorites, including my #1 favorite film.

The African Queen (1951)
Autumn Sonata (1978)
Cleo from 5 to 7 (1952)
Diabolique (1955)
Eyes Without a Face (1960)
The Fly (1986)
The French Connection (1971)
The Fugitive (1993)
Mean Streets (1973)
Miller's Crossing (1990)
Point Break (1991)
The White Ribbon (2009)

My money is on Millers Crossing to win this batch, because everything else is depressing,

3 Women (1977)
Apocalypse Now (1979)
Citizen Kane (1941)
Dark City (1998)
The Devil's Backbone (2001)
L. A. Confidential (1997)
The Others (2001)
Platoon (1986)
Psycho (1960)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Sweet Smell of Success (1957)
Woman in the Dunes (1964)

Woman in the Dunes pops up again, I don't think it'll win I think this is Shawshank...if Okay finishes.

The Godfather II (1974)
The Hurt Locker (2008)
Make Way for Tomorrow (1937)
The Red Shoes (1948)
Scott Pilgrim vs The World (2010)
Sexy Beast (2000)
Sullivan's Travels (1941)
Taste of Cherry (1997)
Trainspotting (1996)
True Romance (1993)
Viridiana (1961)
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
stacked....I think Scott Pilgrim pulls off the upsetand I don't know whats going to happen with The Godfather Part II without I

The Caine Mutiny (1954)
Heavenly Creatures (1994)
I Walked with a Zombie (1943)
King Kong (1933)
My Night at Maud's (1969)
Pandora's Box (1929)
Room at the Top (1959)
The Scarlet Empress (1934)
Silent Running (1972)
Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927)
Wait Until Dark (1967)
Withnail and I (1987)

Somebodies got a stacked Halloween season with Sunrise, Silent Running, Wait Until Dark, King King, Pandora's Box, Heavenly Creatures and I Walked with a Zombie.

And I Walked with a Zombie pops up twice...that's a shocker.

As someone who absolutely loved Woman in the Dunes in the previous tournament, I'm enjoying seeing it mentioned so often.

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure you've seen the first one. You weren't a huge fan, right?
