Not Paranormal stuff no... but I have seen home videos... and in a home video and on CCTV footage, non-diegetic music tends to, sort of... not exist.

I never read the rumble as a Paranormal sound tbh... I always read it as simply bad filmmaking.
Which I reckon it is if I'm being completely honest.

Each, to his own. My GF and I like ALL the Paranormal Activity flicks, because they are woven together in a pretty clever way, and she just loves Verite style. They are the epitome of low-budget B-movie goodness. They clearly aren't amazing or groundbreaking (they just aren't, I don't care what anyone says), but we had fun watching them.
