7) Schindler’s List vs Shutter Island - a typically fantastic Scorsese film, great matchup though - Schindler's List is no slouch, well on the contrary, would get my vote against a lot of other opponents
Beauty and the Beast vs The Thing [1982] - animation bias I guess, didn't enjoy The Thing all that much
A Clockwork Orange vs Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - really enjoyed the Pirates of the Caribbean films, while A Clockwork Orange might be my least favorite Stanley Kubrick film

Young Frankenstein vs Gran Torino - very close one, neither blew me away, but both good
The Terminator vs 26) It’s a Wonderful Life - a classic that mixes several genres, one of the few Christmas-themed films I've actually enjoyed
24) The Usual Suspects vs Full Metal Jacket - one of the easiest picks of the bunch
Batman Begins vs V for Vendetta - easy too, the Batman films are enjoyable, but quality-wise I find them overrated in general
Warrior vs Like Stars on Earth - fantastic, incredibly touching film
Some Like it Hot vs 46) Dr. Strangelove - one of the best comedy films ever made

The Graduate vs Reservoir Dogs - perhaps the best independent film made, it draws inspiration on Stanley Kubrick's The Killing, but leaves its own, very strong and unique mark

Haven't watched Dog Day Afternoon, 8 and a Half, Rope, The Kid, A Separation, Swades: We the People, All About Eve, Infernal Affairs and Touch of Evil

I'll watch Like Stars on Earth tonight. I've seen Warrior so I'll be able to vote.

The Terminator vs 26) It's a Wonderful Life

Warrior vs Like Stars on Earth far too schmaltzy and its two and a half hour running time isn't justified by its content. It did have a few good things going for it that made me like it better than Warrior.

So the number one film on the IMDB Top 250 is knocked out in the very first round! It was a close encounter, at one point Shawshank was leading 11-8 if I remember correctly. Sad to see Raging Bull go as well but that was a ridiculously tough first round.

We have one tie though - The Lion King vs Annie Hall at 13 votes each. If anyone could break that tie in the next few days, that would be much appreciated.
