Song Tournament 3 - Brackets

DON'T LET MARK F VOTE. He's an old timer into his old timey songs.

OH MY GOD. If Simon & Garfunkel end up winning this whole tournament...

My votes again so you won't have to go back to the last page:

1. Bobby Vinton - Sealed With A Kiss

2. Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing

3. Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street

4. Bobby Pickett - Monster Mash

5. Elvis Presley – In the Ghetto

6. Del Shannon - Runaway

7. Devo - Whip It

8. The Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin

A good portion of the songs in this tournament could be classified as "old timey."

Besides that, his peference for "Old Timey" music has worked in my favor more than once.

I haven't trusted him with votes since he voted for Bobby Vinton.

But if he wants to go ahead and vote for Del Shannon, that would be nice.

I tallied your votes the first time, Sexy. You don't need to keep reminding me that you're voting for that "boring" Bobby Vinton song.

The Bobby Vinton song is catchier.

That's the problem with a lot of you -- Mark F included with his Simon & Gar****el -- you don't have a taste for catchy songs.

It's too bad this forum doesn't have a "flippin' the bird" emoticon.
Just do:

*flips you the bird*

I like plenty of catchy songs, but I prefer songs that have some real meaning and emotion to them.
I don't really buy the idea that songs come packed with emotion. The listener has to supply the emotion (done automatically). The song's power comes from if it can make you supply the emotions.

For me, some of these songs you like -- the "emotional" ones -- they don't work on me. They don't call up any emotions at all.

It's the same with "emotional" movies.

Yes, but you voted against Buckingham. Therefore no rep for you.
You also voted against Petty and are part of the reason he lost. LP voted for both of them.
