Ultimate Action Movies

Thanks for the effort. I have all that. Blind Fury is with Rutger Hauer ( makes me think him wit Stalone in another movie, where he plays a terrorist)
Stand corrected, haven't seen Hollow point and I love Thomas Ian Griffith - Excessive Force, Ulterior Motives.
Yeah, Nighthawks, an underrated action thriller.

You should definitely check out Hollow Point. It's quite fun.

Hanna is in my recently seen batch of movies so I haven't yet categorized it so I forgot to list it. Loved that movie. Saoirse Ronan, the sky's the limit. She will be a super star.
Yeah, amazing film, amazing performance.

The Long Kiss Goodnight
Terminator 2
Aliens
Die Hard with a Vengeance
Face/Off
Kung Fu Hustle
Kiss of the Dragon
Black Mask
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Speed
Rush Hour
Legend of Drunken Master
Lethal Weapon
The Big Hit
The Matrix
Kill Bill
Desperado
Equilibrium
V for Vendetta
The Dark Knight
Tomb Raider
Hellboy 2
Smokin Aces
Blade 2
The Rundown
Blind Fury
Shoot Em Up
Sudden Death
Hollow Point
Lose V for Vendetta. It literally has one action scene of note. It's political/sci-fi that happens to have a couple of action scenes. Not really "pure" action, IMO.

Also, Smoken Aces is one of the worst films I've ever seen. It is derivative and has absolutely no sense of what it wants to be. Absolute crap.

Finally, Rush Hour stinks. Chris Tucker always "acts" in films as if he's the only person in the world. He doesn't actually interact with the people on screen with him. He just says his lines and acts like an idiot. Terrible actor, bad film, zero buddy chemistry. Poor Jackie Chan, the man can do so much better.

Now that I've made you stop reading, that is a great list...minus the stuffs I mentioned!

I preferred the original. It was more compact and focused and the story line was better. But, that's just me.
I completely agree that the first one was better but that's not what this thread is about right, maybe I missed the point.

A lot of people did not like Hanna but I really thought it was a good movie, I think because of the way it was promoted as a Bourne type movie that is the reason a lot of people did not like it, but if you watch it with an open mind then it is great.

No, you are right. The thread is about action but since you said that B13 Ultimatum had " more action " than the original, I just clarified how I felt about the two movies.

I didn't know anything hardly about it. I literally found out about it not even a week before I watched it, and all I read was the basic premise before I thought "sounds cool" and added it to my queue.

Gotcha, yes I completely agree.
Someone needs to start a Parkour in movies thread because I think that B13 and the sequel are some of the best examples, but that's not for this thread.

Yes, that's best examples of running and jumping in movies.

Something that troubled me from the first post in this thread, how can you have more than one "ultimate" action movie?

I don't really consider a lot of those to be action movies, but it's a real cool list. Just a few I thought were missing are:
Under Seige
First Blood
Mad Max
The Road Warrior
The Three Kings
The Hidden
Crimson Tide
Commando
The Rookie
The Running Man
Code of Silence
Delta Force
True Romance
Predator
Robocop
Strange Days
The Expendables
Total Recall
Crank
True Lies
Cliffhanger
Raiders of the Lost Ark and sequels
Bullitt
Bad Boys
The Warriors
Bloodsport

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
Con Air, Point Break, Die Hard, Seven Samurai, The Rock and Under Siege are my favourite action films.

I think to say "ultimates " would be bad grammar but saying it in the singular tense I am refering to a whole category, which would mean there is more than one.

Someone needs to start a Parkour
One of the founders of Parkour/Free running called Sébastien Foucan(Casino Royale) is currently a contestant in a show here called Dancing on Ice, he is fabulous.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
You did this with the Western thread. Listing like "every" decent action flick.

Just pick a few of your favourites.

Also where the **** is Predator??!!

You are so wrong about that; I had to narrow down my list. I've seen over 9000 movies, and you just made us aware of Predator, so it's a good thing
