Most Boring Movie

No, what he's saying is that, because of the lack of character development in the Saw and Hostel films, they are portrayed as 'real people' and, therefore, you don't care what happens to them. They're just there to be killed by the killers.

No Country For Old Men looked seriously boring. It looked like it would've been made 30 years ago.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
It's actually set 28 years ago. Oh, and they really did know how to make movies 30 years ago.

Oh they did not you big fibber. That's just what parents tell their kids so they appear cool.

Let's try to be broad-minded about this

The first movie that comes to mind is The Departed. The second is Goodfellas. I know I will be flamed for it, but I find the films severely overrated. Especially The Departed, while watching it I wanted to shoot myself because I was thinking "this is... so... long...", and then I would look at how far I was through the movie only to think "another hour?!?!?! NOOOOOOOO!"

The Godfather: Part II was also very long and I didn't even finish it in one sitting because of it. Although, I do understand why it is so revered and can appreciate it nonetheless.

i've heard other people say The Departed was a bore fest but when i was watching it i didn't even consider boredom as an option until i came here

Not again?!?! You didn't even watch it. You walked out. That's the best "Fourth of July" movie there is, but OK, again...
My friend and I watched the first half of "1776", and then we walked out in the middle of this film, because we were both so bored with it.

I am half agony, half hope.
I caught about half an hour of Mary Reilly this evening, and decided I would rather put out my eyes. *snore*

But incredible films were made 30 years ago! That's why No Country for Old Men is an awesome piece of cinema!

I liked Mary Reilly. For some reason the 'grey feel' of it appealled to me. I've only seen it the once, but I'd like to see it again sometime, if only to see if I can be slightly less vague about what I liked about it.

Hostel is one of the worst films made ever, period. Completely ridiculous, silly, open mouth breathing garbage. It somehow manages to have no style AND no substance at the same time.

Completely agree with that regarding the first Hostel. But what about the sequel? That one was surprisingly alright, I thought.

Gods and Generals 2 or 3 hours into the film and I thought it was over cause the screen went black . Then it said Intermission . I actually said "You have to be Kidding!"
