Movies That Are Underrated.....

Every single one of Park Chan-Wook's films except Oldboy is underrated
Maybe I just don't hear about very many people talk about it.

I've not seen any of his other films. Are they good?

Precious tritium is what makes this project go.
I always feel as if The Incredible Hulk is underrated, despite it's mainly positive reception. I love it.

I find his other films very good, generally better even. I envy anyone who doesn't have to put up with overbearing response to something though.

imho: old boy is underrated

I think it's one of those movies that is so unique, ambitious, and challenging that it's really beyond others which puts it beyond 100%. Similar to Kubrick films, there are really no others like it, can't be compared.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno really underrated. I think many were scared off by the title but really heartfelt movie.

Harsh Times with Bale.

Starship Troopers
a good adaptation from a militaristic book (i've read) by a military writer. I guess you can throw jar head in there as well.

^Almost never here if this film anymore, I came upon it by chance, a trilogy ending in All The Presidents Men.

^Good 80's horror flick, sorta reminds me of an earlier Scream.

But Not Slight of Mind or Tongue...
So many underrated films, but here are a few of my favorites not yet mentioned:

Speed Racer

Breach

Shattered Glass

Unconditional Love

Always

The Stars Fell on Henrietta

Twice in a Lifetime

The Hidden

They Might Be Giants

All Through the Night

The Rocking Horse Winner (1949)

Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore)

One Crazy Summer

Breach was a excellent CIA drama of recent, a good many I don't know on your list???

I second One Crazy Summer, some real funny stuff!

Of the last few posts, I'd certainly second Starship Troopers, though I think it's brilliance is a lot more recognised/appreciated now than it was 10 years ago.

Also, April's Fool Day. Not quite sure if it's underrated, but it's worth a look. If you are looking for a lesser seen, underrated slasher, may I point those of you who are unaware in the direction of this early 80's gem.

Happy Birthday To Me

The Hidden is a real cult film. A small but dedicated following.

For thos who like(d) The Full Monty or Billy Elliot, I'd recommend both Among Giants and Brassed Off.

The kids movie Fluke was on tv. It made me think Eric Stoltz and then this film. An 'overcoming the odds' drama from from a ways back. I saw it on a movie channel way back. Great acting. A fine film simply not mentioned much anymore.

Also made me think of Muriel's Wedding, both dealing with paralysis, which isn't underated, atleast among movie people anywho. Plenty people know and love it.

Not underated but under the radar, a blast from the past. Excellent Narc film based on true event.

New here so bear with me.
Whilst on topic of Oldboy, ive just purchased Vengeance trilogy boxset for £5.50. ive watched Oldboy and Sympathy for Mr Vengeance but yet to watch Lady Vengeance. Thought was pretty good value nevertheless.

Not exactly sure if this film is 'underrated' but i absolutely loved Animal Kingdom. Any thoughts?

Flash Gordon is probably one of the most unintentionally hilarious films of all time. Watched it once with a bunch of mates in a completely intoxicated state, thought I was going to die.
