I got that same exact thing for my birthday back in November, but mine looks different than that picture. I guess it's because mine was a region 1 DVD.

Great choice honeykid, how much does a massive box set like that cost these days?

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Actually, my boyfriend got this for me... I already knew dialogues from the movie by heart, I guess he wanted me to know the entire movie by heart.....

That Hitchcock Boxset frequently crops up in sales for a ridiculously low price considering what's in it, it's normally around £20 (in sterling that's only a bit more than a chart DVD and about same as Blu Ray).

That's like $40-45 in my area of the world, what a steal!

Also Sleezy, good call on buying Thank You for Smoking, great flick.

Today, I purchased:

The Thomas Crown Affair
The original McQueen & Dunway flick or the remake with Brosnan & Rene Russo?

They're both pretty good, don't you think?

The remake. I'm not crazy about it, but it's a fun flick when I'm feeling a caper film, and it was five bucks.

Is the original worth checking out?

Thanks. Yeah, I watched it earlier. I'll post a mini-review in the Movie Tab later tonight or tomorrow.

Is the series worth watching Mack? Never seemed to be able to catch it, liked the pilot enough though
hm. depends on the Season you watch. If youre a Terminator fan, youll enjoy it just because you enjoy the storyline, and Season 1 has a lot of hard-hitting action, with running and gunning all that time. Its Season 2 that makes a person pause when recommending the series. I can stomach an awful lot of melodrama, and even I wasnt able to watch every episode of Season 2 all the way through. The train derailed the track halfway thru the season, but I think its because they either ran out of material to write about, or (more likely) were making a decision about whether or not to run the show in a linear track to complement the upcoming Terminator 4 movie.

But. If you are a die-hard, you will be rewarded, because it seems that once they made up their minds about what to do, they turned up the action and started slicing and dicing. I do think that they are going to cancel the show though, and a lot of their plot choices seem very fatalistic to the degree that most people think this is the final season.

Does it complement the Terminator films? Yes.
Do you HAVE to see it? No.

I'd rate it 2.5/5.

Yep, cost me £18.

Wow. You'd be better off buying it R2 and paying the postage. To be fair, as Pyro said, it's often on sale and that's it's current sale price. I didn't look at the full price, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was at least £80.

Let's try to be broad-minded about this
I got so many good ones! My mom was furious though, i can't wait to get a separate account where she can't look at my spending....she's so unsupportive of my addiction haha but in my defense i'm extremely low maintenance i never by clothes or spend much of my money, just movies and food

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
