Saddest movie you have seen

It had to be the Disney flick Old Yeller, which I saw as a child. The scene of a kid having to shoot his own dog would bring tears to a glass eye.

The Yearling and My Pal Trigger, which featured deaths of horses, also were pretty bad. But Yeller was worse--all kids would like to have a horse, but most of us know what it's like to lose a favorite dog.

I thought the ending of Educating Rita was a bit sad

Titanic (naturally)
Watership Down
The Lion King
Death of A Salesman
The Fugitive Kind
Another Country
The Glass Menagerie (if you don't cry when the glass animal breaks, you're cruel)
Donnie Darko
Kes!!

the notebook

and also titanic

It was this movie with a horse and a girl, damn I cant stand animal movies anymore, I cant even think of the idea of seeing those emotional animal movies we used to see as kids that would eventually made us cry with the happy ending, I cant stand them.

I am burdened with glorious purpose
The saddest ever is Kes. Anyone who watches it and doesn't cry is evil
I just found out that the actor in my avatar, Sean Bean, lists this as his favorite film. Now reading your post... I think I'll rent this or find it.

I don't know if this is the saddest movie I've seen, but off the top of my head, the one film that literally breaks my heart is The Green Mile. (Others here have mentioned it.) I really don't seek out this film, but my son loves it and puts it on the TV quite often. And then every single time, I get caught up in it and cry my friggin' eyes out. I get hysterical. And then I feel incredibly sad afterward.

I think I should hide the DVD.

is thouroughly embarrassed of this old username.
I've never really seen a sad movie but, there was one part in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance that pretty much brought me to tears.

\m/ Fade To Black \m/
When I was a young lad I remember watching this with my grandad and found it very sad. To be honust its the only time ive ever found a film sad.

Oh, and Death Of A Salesman.

Kes is a good film, just very upsetting. It's about a young boy from a poor family who befriends and trains a kestrel.

Shindlers List

I'd have to say,Bridge to Terabithia.
That one was sad,but very awesome at the same time.
