What song have you downloaded that you are ashamed to admit to?

Okay, I have a confession to make.

I heard a commercial on TV for a show called Mr. Personality. I haven't watched the show, but in the commercial they were playing "I think I love you" by David Cassidy from the Partridge Family.

I downloaded it. I like it.

I would be ashamed too....

I don't download music anymore because those programs don't work on the server I am connected too, which is the server of the university.

But I bought Eliminator with ZZ Top the other day - which I am not at all ashamed of. However, I often have to explain why I own it when friends of mine see it lying around in my room. But if you don't understand what an incredibly cool track Sharp Dressed Man is then you don't understand music. Or well at least I feel a little sorry for you.....

By the way, here's some tips of good swedish rock'n'roll for you downloaders:

Isolation Years - "Open Your Eyes"

Mando Diao - The "Bring Em In" album

The Hives

Hellacopters - Everything but start with their latest "By the Grace of God" and go backwards in time. It gets more garage-ish and noisy the further back in time you get.

moomoobarhbarhbarh
muahahaha i know! hehe.. but yes, i am a bit ashamed because most the people i hang around look down on rap in general, especially gansta rap. so, yeah. but i mean really.. it just.. .. daaaamnn.. it feels good to be a gangsta. why can't they see that??!

that song just has the coolest vibe to it. Even people I know that hate rap love that song.

moomoobarhbarhbarh
oh my god.. same here!.. my boyfriend hates rap, and absolutely detests gansta rap, yet he very very ashamedly admits to loving that song. muahahahaha! i like how it is so mellow, cool, and collected. yet.. very entertaining at the same time. hehe.

I'm not really ashamed of it but I downloaded this German (I think its German anyways) techno song that throughout has this rubber ducky sound going off. Its sooo funny.

Randomly visiting for now
I've downloaded a few really great classical pieced from movies, such as:
  • Now we are Free - Gladiator Soundtrack - Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerard (great atmosphere)
  • Things - Thomas Newman - American Beauty soundtrack (like a cool breeze it goes through you)
  • Shawshank Redemption Theme - James Horner (this music wrenches at my soul every time I hear it)
  • Violin Concerto No. 3 "Staussburg", 3rd Movemet - Master & Commander. (don't know why I like this one but I just do)
  • Green Mile Theme - Thomas Newman (awesome truly awesome!)
  • The Swan - Camille Saint-Saens - performed by Yo-Yo Ma (if it's not in a movie it should be)
  • Adagio for Strings (Platoon) - Samuel Barber (magical stuff right here, so so much emotion)
I'm only ashamed because when my friends go through my playlist they're like "what the &$*$ is this?" cause it's placed right after all my music by The Clash, Ramones, The Who and Led Zepplin. Doesn't quite fit does it, but really from my point of view great music can come from any genre.
