Should I binge this over the coming winter?
Breaking Bad
have you seen it?
Personally, I feel the writing is great with a range of character. The humor is there never overpowering the drama and this is one of the few shows on my list that creates a reasonable conclusion. Add to that a decent follow-up movie and as good spinoff with Better Call Saul.
I don't know what you are into yet, but this is in my top list along with Battlestar Galactica (reboot), Lost, HBO's Deadwood and Rome, and Ozark (though Ozark is a bit over the top on all the levels, IMO). Breaking Bad is actually in my top 3, the more I think about it.
Unfortunately, it's not QUITE as good as the @Austruck fav, Raised by Wolves. That's probably more to do with the fact they ended this marvelous series much too early in its development. Sowwy, AU. *howls*

I try to re-watch every few years. The DVD box set is on my Christmas list to Santa
