My movies
Alice in Wonderland (1951)
This is a nice choice for me as I haven't seen many classic Disney animated films. Animated movies are a bit of a long shot for me. I've liked the ones from the past Personal Recs but not loved them.
Bob Le Flambeur (1956)
French 1950s, Casino robbery caper...sounds good to me. It reminds me of an episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nice, which is a plus!
Bullitt (1968)
I believe I seen this at the theater with my parents way back in 1968 when I was a wee tyke. I don't remember a thing about it. I've always wanted to watch this as an adult.
City Lights (1931)
I was hoping this would be chose for me. I've liked or loved all the Chaplin films that I've seen so far.
The Conversation (1974)
I've heard of it, Gene Hackman is a favorite actor so hoping I like it.
The Full Monty (1997)
I didn't mean this one when I said I was dubious about one of the films, but after reading about it, maybe I should be
I don't enjoy male nudity, however I do like female nudity
(if it's tastefully done).
The General (1926)
Buster Keaton is the man! I had wanted to watch this for the Pre 1930s Countdown but never got around to it. Glad to see it chose.
Paris, Texas (1984)
Harry Dean Stanton & Dean Stockwell sounds good to me.
The Player (1992)
Never heard of it...but this sounds way cool: '
A Hollywood studio executive is being sent death threats by a writer whose script he rejected, but which one?'
Room at the Top (1959)
Never heard of it...BUT someone read my mind because I just seen Laurence Harvey on the old
What's My Line TV show and then read about him and was planning on seeing one of his films.
Secrets & Lies (1996)
Not heard of it...BUT this sounds very interesting '
Following the death of her adoptive parents, a successful young black optometrist establishes contact with her biological mother -- a lonely white factory worker living in poverty in East London.'...
Zodiac (2007)
A bit dubious about this one, it sounds too violent for my taste and I usually hate newer movies about criminal predators stalking innocent people...call that my 'movie trigger'.
