What's Your Least Favorite/Most Hated Movie... and Why?

I've not seen the film(s) but the clips I've seen of the action do all look like computer games being played.

Whatever misgivings I may have towards Kung Fury, it is a comedic masterpiece compared to Housos vs. Authority.
Um, I don't think that Kung Fury was meant to be taken seriously in the slightest.

Really though, just because a movie isn't supposed to be taken seriously doesn't mean that it is automatically absolved of any shortcomings. That's not my problem with Kung Fury - my problem is that, even by "don't take this seriously" standards, it sucks.

I agree.

And I disagree, but that's neither here nor there.

We're talkin' worst of the worst. Can anyone POSSIBLY suggest a movie worse than Avengers? I dare you. It can't be done.

The thread title stipulates "least favourite" and "most hated", so objective merit or lack thereof does not necessarily have to enter into a person's subjective opinion on a film.

The biggest pile of steaming turd my eyes have ever had the misfortune of witnessing. I may as well have watched 2 teenagers play Tekken on the Xbox for 2 hours. Utter, utter garbage - that finally flicked the 'off' switch for me as regards superhero movies. Mindnumbing, trite, offensively sterile flotsam. 0/10

Okay, The Avengers is by no means a masterpiece, but I think it's still good.

I can think of thousands, Last Airbender, Legend of the Titanic, Jack and Jill, Battlefield Earth, Ultraviolet, Transformers 1,2,3,4, Patch Adams, Grown Ups 1 and 2, Dragonball: Evolution, Twilight movies, Fifty Shades of Grey, Little Nicky, Master of Disguise, Bruno, Showgirls, Swept Away, From Justin to Kelly, Crossroads, Angel of Death, Leprechaun, The Phantom, Batman and Robin, Mardi Gras movies, Piranha movies, and I think you get the idea.

I don't really understand your first sentence. Why does putting forward a movie as the worst I've ever seen, mean I only see good movies?

Okay, The Avengers is by no means a masterpiece, but I think it's still good.
It's my most hated movie (as per the thread title) based on the ratio of it being over hyped, hubris heavy, highly rated, expensively made etc etc compared to how good it actually is.

I think the logic here works like this: The Avengers, for all its faults, is generally considered a good (or at least not bad) movie by critics and audiences alike. Despite this, you cite it as your least favourite movie ever and award it a zero out of ten. Therefore, if you consider this "good" movie to be the worst one you've ever seen, then it implies that every other movie you've ever seen is better. I don't necessarily think that this is the case, hence why I asked for what you considered the runners-up for your worst movie ever so I could properly gauge why this gets the pick over more obvious candidates like the ones suggested by NextScorsese.

Movie Forums Squirrel Jumper
The Town--It's an overrated, cheesy piece of junk that's more like a feature-length, made-for-TV soap opera than a regular movie. Ugh!

Animal House--Ugghh!--What an offensive, disgusting film that was.

S. O. B. (Standard Operational Bulls**t)--ugghh-what a disgusting film!

Godspell (the movie version-ugh!) The stage version was much, much better.

Outlaw Josey Wales--boring.

1776 (the movie version)--ugghh! It was boring as hell!

The Idealistic American--(Pretty much everybody in the theatre, including myself, fell asleep during this film.)

Cabaret (While I didn't hate this film, I wasn't crazy about it, either.)

King Kong (the re-make, by Dino DiLaurentis--ugh!)Sterile and rather offensive.

Monsieur Deveaux This was the only Charlie Chaplin film that I saw and really didn't like, but then again, for the most part, I've never really cared for black comedy, to begin with.

Might as well put this out there.

The show was my favorite growing up and is still one of my favorites to this day because it still holds up so well. And the fact that they even made a movie about it at all and then went and let Shyamalan direct. It gave us this watered down, emotionless, horribly put together film with ungodly boring performances and screenplay.

I was never one to jump on the anti-Shyamalan bandwagon. Growing up, I thought he was great. He was my favorite director as a kid for a time. But this movie was too stupid, and on multiple levels - most notably it's ridiculously flawed depiction of mental illness.

Don't worry guys. I'm not going to try to kill you and throw you down a well.

I have to return some videotapes...
Batman and Robin... the movie is absolute garbage and almost destroyed a franchise. Just terrible.
