It was very good. A couple of things stopped me really loving it - it was a bit long and i had trouble keeping track of all the characters and how they related to each other. Still, really well acted and i still can't get over how amazing Isabelle Adjani looked considering she was 40 when it was made
It's been a while since seeing a film by either Hou or Godard, I've been busy with Ford, Hawks, Lubitsch, Costa, Rohmer and others lately, so I'm sure it'll be refreshing to go back to some other favorites. After Daughter of the Nile, I only have to see Hou's three studio films, which I highly anticipate. Once I see all of them, a full ranking will be in order.
