oh boy, the biggest bomb Ridley Scott ever made!(after "avatar", anyway.) After making "alien" the movie he turns around and decides to make alien all over again, only he calls it PROMETHEUS. HOW?

In the first place, the human ship lands on the unknown planet, and all the scientists go right out, in spacesuits, into a big dark cave, they know nothing about. Wow – what confidence and idiocy.and of course the pilot stays in the Ship. Next, of course, we find the aliens, or pieces of them who were undone, killed, by the unknown "THING". ("Aliens" all over again!)

while we are noticing that we also have an android, again, there is a malicious snakelike, creature, in the dark cave, that comes out, and nabbed one of the scientists right in the face of his spacesuit helmet.(remember?)

Whereupon, also in this story, once again a creature tries to get itself inside the heroine.(however, this time it succeeds.) Now one of the most ridiculous parts of this movie; we have the heroine putting herself into a machine, that does not operate on women (???) – And has the nasty little embryo, cut out of her, with its tentacles waving back and forth viciously..Sigh! Just like old home week!

Strangely, this fast operation still enables our heroine to run around, and run and run and run and run all through the rest of the picture. Fast healing!I've heard of doctors wanting to get you on your feet right away after surgery but this is ridiculous.

Let's face it, this is just a remake of the first movie "alien",OR "Aliens," using just about all of the same plot, right down to having a female heroine .,yes, the plot is slightly different, screwed around with, and we are fooled into thinking it's completely different. It's not. It's the same old thing! They try to distract us with this story of beings, superior beings that supposedly made us. however, apparently they may not have actually LIKED US.(they're right, who does?) Naturally, we can't end this movie without tearing the head off of the android, while it's still seems to be conscious and alive. very original. – – NOT.

Did you notice that makes the third time,in three different movies, that an android gets his head torn off? And he still able to talk and think? Scott just can't let go of this frisky stereotype.

finally, to end this fabulously over – illustrated, over – super – special effected, gorgeously detailed space opera, the crew of the Prometheus rams the ship of the super beings, apparently because they're going to attack Earth and destroy it. Meanwhile, the only person left alive is, naturally the heroine.( But where is her cat?) and the real difference between Sigourney Weaver and this heroine is, this heroine is very short and petite , and more feminine in her approach.too bad it doesn't get her anywhere.

I'm sorry, this was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen in my life! I don't know what Ridley Scott was thinking, maybe he forgot completely that he already made this one once.however, he did and the first time he made it a lot better.PROMETHEUS was slow, predictable, beautiful but pretentious, with an extremely unlikable android that you could predict was going to screw everyone up. You could also predict that most of the crew was not going to make it, especially Theron.

I thought this movie was as big a joke as "avatar", but at least avatar had a very beautiful lively alien landscape, much more amusing.and I liked the characters a lot better. Noomi Rapace is a decent actress, but she was much better in the original Swedish "girl with the Dragon tattoo" (real title: "men who hate women")-- because she had a much better script, plot and character to work with. I don't think I could have been as serious as she was, and could not have avoided breaking out in hysterical laughter, at all the ridiculous stuff, that Scott made her do.good old Ridley probably would have fired me, for laughing at his silly bull **** "monster-embryo-abortion", and not being able to go through with it for laughing too hard.– – Followed by all the marathon running, she had to follow it up with!.

To end this , I will admit that there may be superior intelligent creatures in the universe, but I don't think they were in this movie, and it was definitely not written and directed by one.Ridley Scott is a very brilliant director, but I think maybe he should retire. One of his faults I find to be that he frequently OVER DOES everything. Everything has to be BIG, BIG, BIG! It gets very tiring. When a movie is always so BIG, all the smaller more personal parts get lost. plus, a lot of the characters turn into stereotypes,, over and over. That's my review, take it or leave it. Thank you.

I really liked Prometheus. I thought it was very interesting and very entertaining. One of the better movies in the Alien series.
