You absolutely MUST go see Young Guns with Rodent sometime.

I couldn't resist.

Depends on where you are. Cities and bigger towns will have the major franchise cinemas but also cool independent places if you look around. The majority of smaller towns will have a francise - AMC, Odeon etc, but you'll be lucky to find anywhere else.

I'm in Manchester.I found Odeon here.I'll try to visit it in the next few days.Thank you )

Still didn't go the cinema but I will tomorrow maybe.Instead,I sent my CV to some cinema's,I think it would be awesome to work there.
So I've been here a few days, there are some things I noticed:

- very polite people. But it's sometimes annoying.Like when you're about to go in a bus and every person wants to let another person go first.I also find it weird to thank the driver when you get out,in my country people don't do that. ) Anyway,I went to one hotel to give my CV and the staff was so nice,it really improved my confidence.

- crossing street when there's a red light.I can understand small street but if it's big,I prefer to wait for the green light.Even if there isn't any cars.

- tons of people from all parts of the world.

- public transport isn't a monopoly.Maybe it's cheaper that way but it's quite umcomfortable.

- how come I haven't seen any cats yet?

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Ugggghhhh Manchester, you will never find a more retched hive of scum and villainy (except Liverpool).

Any mofos in Manchester to help out this damsel in distress or what?

Oh c'mon, you country is not that bad. :P
I just now realized that I'm absolutely independant, paying for everything from my own hard earned money. ) Feels good. I should try to look for job more intensively now since if I won't find it,it would be weird to come back to parents house.
I want to work as receptionist at the hotel,I think I'd prefer to be a night receptionist but my parents say that the requirements are high for such position, like you need a higher education etc. Some people say that it's not that hard to get such job.I have experience as a night receptionist,I put it in my CV and I believe that it counts for something.
So today,I'll go to various hotels to hand out more CV's.I'm not sure though whether I should to bigger or smaller hotels,I worked in a small one but the bigger one is more likely to have job vacancies.
If I won't succeed at the hotel,I'll try to go to various shops, something retail related.I am sure though that waitress would be my last try,I've worked for a few days back in my country. It was a training but I was offered to stay.Anyway,I hated it.I also have a scar on my elbow and, although the manager didn't say anything about it,it was uncomfotable serving people as they could see my scar.
Now I also had an idea to work in a cinema.Selling ticketrs maybe?Cleaning the premises?I'm not sure even what kind of positions are there. Is it normal to bring a CV to a movie theatre and leave it there? It's probably a minimum wage job but it's movie related!

I don't know if it's normal or not, I'd think it is, but that's how my friend got his job at the cinema. It was 10 years ago, but I can't see any reason why it'd be any different.

Hehe, someone just got a job interview. Can't wait for it.
Honeykid, thank you for the info. I applied online for AMC and Odeon but there are some others here.I saw Cornerhouse yesterday, maybe I'll go there as well.

Yep,today I'm busy and tomorrow I have the interview, but I'll try Cornerhouse anyway.I don't like that it's a bit far and my buses don't go that way,I found it when I was lost.

Well,my interview went quite good, although it felt too formal.I'm not sure whether the employer liked me since it was my first interview.Anyway,I was dressed well,I answered all the questions normally,so I hope I get the call.

well I didn't get a job Got even a paper letter saying that I'm not good enough,I thought they don't even bother to inform you if you're not the right candidate.Anyway, got another interview coming up,the problem is that I have no idea what kind of work is it since I sent too much CVs and I just don't remember.

Make sure it's not a Go-go club job.

DD I went yesterday to the place to see where it is and it's such a strange locatrion, somewhere in the corner of the street, seems just off-limits. I joked with my friend that they'll probably take my eyes out and sell them but well,it's an interview, you have to go. :/
