100. Cuckoo
The cast is awesome, particularly the on-screen chemistry from the two leading men. Add to that you can root for both characters and at the same time. Well what can one want from this funny and amazingly written gem, I was pleasently surprised at how well Cuckoo addresses modern families and relationships through comedy. We've come a long way from the classic stigmata of working man, stay at home wife and kids, etc. Well, Cuckoo gives us a pleasent look at one type of modern family environment and relationships, that either many have experienced or will very likely experience themselves at some point in their journey of this modern yet ever changing world.

99. Humans
Humans is an unexpectedly good show. The reason for this is that it's understated in the technology and emphasis the humanity. The cast are all from the UK and mostly unknown and it gets us to know the characters more.
This series is dark and brooding. It raises more questions than answers with the interaction between the artifical intelligence synths and the humans who employ them to do ordinary household tasks.
The origins of the core group of synths is a mystery that weaves through the course of this series. There is some limited action, violence and beneath all that big question about the ghost in the machine.

98. The take
Dark, gritty, heartbreaking even tear jerking with a really sad experience for all women, and even sadder consequence of it. The take gives Britain a stepping stone that we can make good television. Brilliant tv with a good cast.

97. Jonathan strange and Mr norrell
The first episode started out a little slow, developing the characters and establishing the plot. I was sufficiently entertained and interested so I watched the second episode. By the mid-point of the second episode the pace of the story quickly picked up. The main characters feel real, as people, collegues and competitors. The Magic seems natural too. I found it very entertaining without it being too forced or fantastic. The acting, costumes, locations, photography and CGI are all first class.

96. Catastrophe
Right from the very start, it grabs you and does not let go.
It's a TV series comedy, but really it is so much more, and it has a not-real/ real-life quality about it that is most appealing and entertaining.

Rep for Catastrophe (a new series of which starts soon) and Humans, which I liked but not as much as I'd hoped. I wouldn't mind seeing the original to see how they tackled it.

Can't wait for the new series. I haven't seen the original one either. Going to add that to my watchlist.
95. Poldark
Poldark is a most promising series with a lively young cast and strong storyline - who can resist an eternal triangle = against the dramatic backdrop of the cornish coast.
It is visually stunning and the period enhances the feel of the young man returning from war to an uncertain future and trying to reserect the family fortune in a disused mine.

Which Poldark is this that you have on the list?

94. Wolf Hall
This wonderful drama just held me spellbound from the opening sequence to the closing shots of the first episode. Mark rylance was just mesmerising, from the moment he appeared he just held me in thrall. The atmospheric lighting, the scenery, the period clothing, all a wonder, but the acting! It was a genuine privilege to see something that will be talked about for years to come.
I felt I was there, in the dark recessed corridors of power, with betrayal working around every corner. Thomas Cromwell is just a fixture in our national DNA it was almost scary seeing him brought to life, but he, along with henry, laid the foundations for a Britain which was sure of its identity and purpose. Wonderful simply simply wonderful.
Having now viewed the entire series, all I can say is that it's a masterpiece. I felt drawn into the dark intrigue around the investigation of Anne boleyn, and her execution scene was without doubt one of the most realistic and best acted scenes I have ever seen.

93. The missing
This is a very slow, drawn out drama. This programme is about people, relationships, how a moment can change your life forever.
How people react so differently to situations and how it affects them. The actor's take on a journey, Tony, so blinded by guilt and rage that at times you have no empathy for him whatssoever until you reflect on his loss and wonder how you yourself would react.
I find the acting brilliant and I like the time skips, if at times, if you have blinked it gets a little confusing at what era you are looking at especially when the young french man goes to the UK.

92. My family
A great British sit com series that has evolved with the aging of its stars. The series is traditional British slapstick humour revolving around the relationship of family members and their close friends and collegues. Basically great humour that can be watched as repeats and still enjoyed by the wider family group.

91. Threesome
A great British comedy. I love the fact that it isn't all happy endings and has somewhat of a wacky view of the world. I found it laugh out loud funny.
The roles are the usual sort of British oddities and I love the way they let you figure it out for yourself rather than hit you over the head with it.
A great fund.

90. Outnumbered
The whole thing is just true to life, it's scary. Parents who are so absorbed in their own world they mostly overlook the gems of information their kids come out with. Kids who actually behave like real life kids rather than the usual spoilt little brats that most shows portray.

Can't wait for the new series next year.
Just started reading Wolf Hall, glad to see there is an apparently decent adaptation of it.

89. Jekyll
Just watched the first of the series on BBC. Was not sure what to expect as I had not seen any publicity leading up to the broadcast.
I was very pleasently surprised. Not with the slowly revealing dark tones of the plot but also with the underlying erocism from both the female and male protagonists.
There is quite alot of attention to detail which hand in hand with the competent acting makes this very believeable and therefore watchable.
