I want to vote Werckmeister Harmonies over The Dark Knight, but haven't seen The Devil's Backbone. I'd be very surprised if all The Dark Knight votes have seen Werckmeister Harmonies though.

Well, even if we assume they saw it, they would have voted for The Dark Knight. It's obviously not tailored for their tastes.

I personally rate the Dark Knight , while Werckmeister Harmonies is a . I was disappointed with both movies, however, with The Dark Knight I was expecting a pop culture masterpiece that synthesizes the spirit and fears of the young adult population of the Western Hemisphere, a masterpiece such as The Matrix but I only got a very good superhero film. While with Werchmeister Harmonies I was expecting an art film masterpiece such as The Mirror, something that would blown my mind out but instead I got an extremely memorable and still quite poignant experience, so it was a partial disappointment.

Among the 5 movies here TWBB is the only masterpiece IMO.
