I have a lot of neat ideas ready to be put to good use.

Raul is a great Survivor host. His game, Survivor 2, was the only game I stayed in the whole time. I think this will be fun and it looks like he has some good ideas. I like the "around the world" theme. Past players and some good, ready-to-play new players should definitely give this Survivor 9 a chance. (cause nobody seemed to want my Survivor 9).

It's like Survivor. The TV show. Or, to make it easier, it's like Song Tournament, except you're trying to get yourself to be the last person in the game, not a song. There are challenges. People usually get into two tribes. You vote somebody out of the game until only one person is left and that's the winner. You lie, you manipulate, you do whatever you have to do.

I posted this which mentions a few other things:

Sounds like SC and Suspect are going to be trying something different, regular Survivor is simple. The host makes a challenge could be movie guessing or a creative challenge like writing a poem or something, the winner of the challenge then gets immunity and everyone votes for who is evicted. Sometimes there's teams so the team that wins gets immunity and the other team needs to vote someone off. It's basically best to get in with an alliance so people don't vote for you but there can be backstabbing and stuff of course. There's also immunity idols, usually hidden somewhere on the site with clues, if you use it you can't be voted off that round.

It was a murder mansion theme, like Clue. There was a mystery. Someone killed somebody. The killer was Iroquois (God knows why). I remember 7thson was very close to winning - 3rd? Suspect hosted it.

I'm pretty sure it never finished though and Suspect just declared Cosmic the winner with three or four people left. I'm not remembering that wrong, right? I'm sure there was a big controversy about it.

People dropped out of the game left right and centre. In the final 3, only Cosmic participated. So I stopped the game and declared her the winner. Don't know if you want to officially count it because I just picked her to win. It was a disaster.

She deserved it, though. She went far again, nobody bothered to get her out.

Thanks yeah, thought i was going insane. "officially count" is a little silly haha, she won if the host said she won was just trying to remember what went on.

I remember it just came right at the wrong time after about four consecutive Survivors and tonnes of drama which had exhausted everyone. Was nothing to do with your hosting.

Then Tongo wanted to take over and have an official winner. I told him to bugger off, he blocked me. People complained, I didn't care at that point because I put a lot of effort into crafting some games and had to abandon a lot of it due to lack of participation.

Well yeah, that was part of the drama that had exhausted everyone i referenced. It wasn't just that of course there was tonnes of it, and it spilled out into feuds all over the forum. :rotfl:

I don't think I have the time to play, but I'll follow the game, and if you need someone to guest host a challenge (or participate as a temporary foil to the players or something), I could definitely swing that.

You aren't going to get a game going if you don't want to accept new people. Alot of us didn't speak much before Survivor 4, i mean i hadn't said a word to CiCi before that and now he's one of my favourite members.

Survivor is about forming bonds...then mercilessly tearing them apart.

1. For our character, do they have tp be from an existing piece of fiction (seeing as Camo mentioned he'd pick from one of two existing characters if he was participationg) or do we create our own character?

Scanned through the thread and would like to play if I am needed, if not it is cool I dont get on MOFO as much as I would like, but I always try to participate in Survivor. Just let me know when we are starting, or at least a ballpark time frame and I will try and get a character and location in the next day or so. Sounds fun. :)

It's like a song tournament except you yourself wants to be the last one standing. I'll have simple challenges and the winner of those challenges won't be able to be voted off. Create alliances within your group to further yourself in the game. A lot will be explained as we get going. What do you say @mojofilter ?

Had no idea at the time that I was sitting next to the black widow who would go on to win the game. Had no idea they'd turn me into the host mid-game, as well. Hey, what can I say, they needed someone with more personality.

I wish I could say that I planned my rise in that game from the beginning, that I intentionally played Trudeau a little dumb so that people wouldn't feel threatened by me, but honestly I didn't start really playing that game seriously until around when you took over. We lost a lot of Blue Lightning in a short period of time, and I wasn't going to let the team die without a fight. At the start I was just having some fun, fully expecting to get voted off early since I was both new to the site and new to the game.

Then I got to play a pretty idiot who was surprisingly good at the game. It was a lot of fun. I still think about my version of him whenever I see Trudeau sometimes haha.

Even if you don't bother playing much at all. It can be another horrible Survivor game if it must be. This can be the very last one. It's best to end things on the right note.
