my own personal thoughts:

-Aliens is a James Camron masterpiece...I f*ckin love that movie, it is timeless, and to this very day I am still upset that they disgraced it by killing Newt in part 3...I might put it behind T2 though...T2 was the only SUPER-HYPED sequel that actually lived up to every single bit of that hype...I can't think of another sequel that has accomplished that...

-I don't care about the Godfather movies...I realize that I am in the minority on that, but I wouldn't have that in my own top 20 even...just my opinion, and I know other's don't see it the same as me...In fact I bet alot of you think it should be #1...I won't argue it.

-Empire > Dark Knight...

-Temple of Doom > Bourne/Evil Dead/Batman Returns

-good to see X2 get some props...one of the best comic hero flicks ever made IMO...

-Blade 2 was great, should be higher than 42 IMO...

- Wes Craven's New Nightmare???...WTF???...GTFO...and I LOVE Freddy

So many good movies, so little time.
My Picks :

1. Godfather 2
2. Manon of the Spring
3. Aliens
4. The Bride of Frankenstein
5. The Empire Strikes Back
6. Batman Returns
7. The Dark Knight
8. Terminator 2
9. Spider Man 2
10. After the Thin Man

Two good sequels:
Dr. Phibes Rises Again, better than the first
Topper Returns

They rank "Order of the Phoenix" as the best Potter movie...

Wow, that's actually my least favorite of them all.

I forgot about The Matrix Reloaded

suprised I didn't notice that...

Reloaded should be top 25 for just special effects achievments alone...the action in that movie was f*ckin insane...they built their own highway for that car chase, which was brilliant I think...

I always wonder who they actually asked, if anyone, for these sort of lists...

I can't believe that Aliens is #1. Aliens isn't even the best Alien sequel, let alone the best sequel ever. I'll also point out that Day Of The Dead is above Dawn Of The Dead, that The Dark Knight is #5 which is waay too high and one of those 50 films is a Superman sequel. Also, considering that they've included a National Lampoon's film, shouldn't there be, at least, one James Bond film?

Lastly, Manon Des Sources is really the second part of the story, rather than a sequel and, therefore, shouldn't be on the list. As there isn't a LotR film (though there are Star Wars films) or White or Red, from the Three Colours Trilogy, it seems they're not really playing by their own rules. Unless they don't consider those films worthy of inclusion, which is unlikely seeing as they've put The Dark Knight at #5.

Aliens isn't even the best Alien sequel
Really? So what is?

Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

There are those who call me...Tim.
Personally I'd switch round Back to the Future parts 2+3; I didn't think the 2nd one was that well paced compared to the first and third films.

Banned from Hollywood.

44. Hellboy II
43. 28 Weeks Later
41. Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors
40. The Four Musketeers
39. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
38. Die Hard With A Vengeance
37. Halloween III
36. Mission: Impossible III
35. Back To The Future Part III
34. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
27. Addams Family Values

bad choices from Empire

Needed "Goblet of Fire" and "Revenge of the Sith" and "Search for Spock" and "Halloween 2". I'd also throw in "Two Towers" and "Return of the King", but I guess they're not quite true sequels.
