Labyrinth

Short Circuit 2

I just recently watched Labyrinth to get me out of a depressing mood, as a matter of fact. A few nights ago, I watched A Walk to Remember which hit me particularly hard (I find it overwhelmingly sad), and--despite not having planned to initially--I watched Labyrinth immediately afterward to uplift my spirits again. It didn't fail to do so.

The best for me is Lawrence Kasdan's Mumford, a film that is actually one of my very favorites but not highly regarded in general. I could go on and on about why I think it's a brilliant film, but suffice to say that there is a great deal of humanity injected throughout, the type that makes me vaguely hopeful. If you haven't seen Mumford, please do!

Kenny, don't paint your sister.
If you're looking for something to lift your spirits, try something directed by Frank Capra. A personal favorite of mine is Holiday, but it isn't Capra.
