Yeah, you're right. Militant atheistic inspired Communism and Nazism are much less violent.

There's no way anyone could call Hitler an Atheist. Also, neither of those are 'inspired' by Atheism.

It's easy to call the Communist dictators Atheists, though, so the point is--like pretty much every facile, Internet-meme anti-religious argument--based on willful cherry-picking, or else ignorance.

More to the point, though, how does it belong in a "Funny Pictures" thread?

A tree is known by its fruit; but the subject matter you brought up doesn't belong on this thread.

I think there's a difference between something which makes us smirk with agreement and something which is a "funny picture." It sticks out like a sore thumb with all the broad, lighthearted humor in here.

And taking a cheap shot at people's beliefs in a thread meant to be fun is just a generally crappy thing to do.

I posted it with a kind of "it's funny cos it's true" sentiment, but you're right in that it does stick out like a sore thumb in this thread. There again, I suppose the bad taxidermy does, too, but I still thought it was funny.
