It reminds me of something that the King of B movies would make, Roger Corman - IMDb, Roger would love this movie, hell he'd rip it off, then add some cheesy comedy to it and make millions.

I'll give this a healthy dose of kernel because it's not a bad film, it's actually a good film, it's just not my kind of film.

Good acting and some good story elements keep this movie alive - but the lack of a bigger type of character development keeps it from being amazing.

[i]Black Snake Moan[/i] tells the story that redemption is always achievable, even in the darkest of hours. All that’s needed is a God-fearing bluesman, a swinging soundtrack, and a really long chain.
