Plot : Stephan confuses his dreams with reality - which makes it impossible for him to get the woman he loves.
Story : Stephan moves into his mother's apartment building because she told him there was a job for a calender designer there - though once he arrives he finds his actual job is more mundane and boring. A new tenant moves into the apartment who Stephan instantly becomes in love with. Once he goes to sleep for the first time the film transforms into a surreal masterpiece. You can tell for the most part when it's reality and when it's a dream , but right when you think you got it : you'll be thrown off. The story is done perfectly and never falls into a predictable routine. One of the most emotional films ever.
Visuals : Amazing transitions from room to room that you are introduced in the film - but with the dreams colliding into what your seeing it becomes chaotic and makes sense at the same time. So much is going on with what your seeing on screen and the story - mixed with the sound mix : it ends up being an incredibly complex feat.
