I feel like I'm on the streets of New York ease dropping on Woody, as he goes lives his conflicted life.
There is not a strict time line in Annie Hall. There is a scene where the characters in the present are in the same room as people from Alvy's past.
Because as I stated earlier, the film is solely driven by dialogue, resulting in the plot is semi non-linear. We already know Alvy met Annie, started to love each other, and then broke up.
