It's a question the movie asks in many ways from it being on Rick's mind half the time to the heinous crime that Tarantino argues ended these good times.

Once Upon A Time...in Hollywood doesn't feel like a typical Tarantino movie for the simple fact that this movie has no real plot or story.

There are a lot of movies within movie and TV shows within movie and they have been used to a point of unnecessity because even on my second watch I felt that the movie dragged a lot.
