Old West highwayman Bill Miner, known to Pinkertons as "The Gentleman Bandit," is released in 1901 after 33 years in prison. A genial and charming old man, he re-enters a world unfamiliar to him, and returns to the only thing that gives him purpose — robbery.

This movie works just as well as a classic western as it does a drug addiction tale, with the drug of course being staging robberies since the best drama comes from whether or not Miner will fall off the wagon, no pun intended.

After briefly contemplating a new life, Miner decides to travel to Canada and begin a new career robbing trains instead.

A western of a different flavor...The Grey Fox is an award winning, biographical Canadian film, that's not like the typical western.
