In this attempted remake of the classic 50s SF tale, a boy tries to stop an invasion of his town by aliens who take over the the minds of his parents, his least-liked schoolteacher and other townspeople. With the aid of the school nurse the boy enlists the aid of the U.S. Marines.

Hooper even got advice when it came to military tactics and the fact that soldiers do not carry loose change in combat (all the more difficult to operate those darn expensive alien laser guns!) He was also sure to put a lot of effort into getting his creative teams to recreate the iconic wooden fenc....
