Despite the genre being different from what Kevin Smith s used to, this feels like a Kevin Smith movie.

I applauded that film for being Smith's most ambitious film, taking him out of his comfort zone and always pulling the rug out from under me.

With Tusk, Smith obviously takes that concept to a horrific extreme and, though the ludicrous nature of the film's premise seems like it'd make for a comedy as well, it's hard to know what side of the horror-comedy scale Tusk falls upon.
