The women reveal themselves to be misfits with outsized, engaging personalities. Much of the conversation is centered on their pasts, as mother and daughter now rarely leave home.

Documentary exploring the lives of a mother and daughter (Big Edie and little Edie) who are relatives of Jackie Onassis and living in a decrepit, decaying mansion.

They're simply a poor choice of subjects; personally I would rather have seen the life of Ellen Hovde; it would have been a lot more interesting to watch a film director's day-to-day life working on the production of a feature-length film.
