I ask Van Damme fans to check this one out, if you haven't already. Even more though, I'm reaching out to those who don't really care for him to see this one too. You might be surprised, this is a really good film..

There are a lot of adjectives you could use to describe most Jean-Claude Van Damme movies. One word you won't find on that list is "touching", but I'll be damned if a monologue delivered by JCVD, himself, in the film's closing chapter doesn't tug at the heartstrings..

Even though the film clearly establishes that this is not the movies, that this is the real Van Damme and this is real life, we still feel certain that at some point we are going to see Van Damme be Van Damme.
