First of all, let me say that this film is nothing like the original, there were so many things that were not in this film that were in the original, which made the film seem very short.

There's a reason why Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory wasn't a straight adaptation of Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - it's just too weird - but nevertheless, Warner Bros and Tim Burton decided to try it anyway.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Tim Burton's dark adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel, which was turned into Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory back in 1971, with Gene Wilder in the title role.
