As more of the people in Miles and Beckys' life become pod people, I had the same sensation I have when I watch election coverage and the candidates I voted for do badly or when I sit in the basement during a tornado warning.

The 1956 version originally had lots of dry humor in it but the studio executives would not allow humor in a horror film so they ordered all the humor scenes cut.
